Another new room?! Another roommate? • Phoebus

Chel woke up slowly massaging her head, the last thing she could remember was the fact she was talking to a vampire, Charlotte, and then something weird happened. Those angels must have drugged her or something 'cause she felt asleep! She looked around, that didn't look the same room of before, but Chel couldn't bet on it: her visual memory was quite bad.
She moved her look to find Anita, if she had been moved Anita would have been moved too, obviously! But there wasn't Anita, laying on the floor Chel could clearly see the figure of a man, one that seemed quite big actually, and he was slowly waking up, too!
Chel immediately woke up from the floor and moved the wall making a big distance between her and the new roommate.

Phoebus let out a low groan as he began to wake up. What the hell happened?
He squinted his eyes as he opened them, momentarily blinded by the light in the room. "Bloody hell..." Rolled over on his side, he began to sit up and take in his surroundings. Why does knock out gas have to give me a goddamn slitting headache? He froze as soon as he sensed a different scent in the room. It wasn't werewolf...it wasn't Sinbad. What is that scent? His eyes scanned the room, only to land on a dark skinned female across the room. "Um....hello?"

Chel watched the man waking up still attached at the wall. The first time with Anita had been much more easier! Everything was dark, she didn't see her and Anita couldn't see Chel. Much easier! She kept her eyes on him holding her breath as he finally saw her and spoke.
"Ehm..." she looked at him "Hi... new roommie..." she waved her hand at him to say hello.

Phoebus rubbed his temples, squeezing his eyes shut in pain every once in a while. Goddamn angels.
As the pain wore off, he could finally focus on this new woman. She seemed very...frightened. Hiding across the room, shy type of speech. He could almost smell the fear.
"My name is Phoebus. And you?" Maybe a common introduction could calm her down.

Chel watched him carefully, in case he would attack her or something. What kind of supernatural may he be? she couldn't help but thought, even if she was intimidated by him Chel's curious nature wanted to know something more about him. So when he introduced himself as Phoebus, Chel made a little step away from the wall towards him.
"I'm Chel..." she smiled sightly, probably it appeared a little far-fetched "So... we are roommates!" she said trying to break the ice, saying the first and probably the most obvious thing that come in her mind.

That's a little better. "Indeed we are." Phoebus stood up and dusted off his clothes before throwing his armor onto the floor. So annoying...His muscles loosened after that weight has been lifted off his shoulders, leaving him with the lightness of his shirt and jeans. "So, I'm assuming you're a 'supernatural' too?" He ran his fingers through his hair as he turned to look at her. She didn't seem as frightened anymore. That's a good sign.

Chel watched him taking off his armor, wondering first the reason he was wearing one and then why he was actually taking it off! She took again a step back as it fell on the floor making a loud noise.
"Yep." Chel moved her look from the armor to him moving again away from the wall "What are you?" she asked watching Phoebus, before telling him who she was it was better to know who HE was.

Phoebus grimaced slightly at the loud sound of his armor. "Sorry about that..." It had been a while since he'd taken it off, must have been too busy with Sinbad. He looked at her when she asked him what he was. "Werewolf. Well, half. Other half...timelord." It wouldn't hurt to just reveal it. Everyone would find out eventually.
"And what about you?" He gestured towards her, wondering what she was. Her scent was familiar, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Chel smiled sightly at his apologies Okay... he seems is all right.... she thought glancing at him.
She listened carefully when he spoke, even if she had never heard before of timelord werewolves or just timelords. "Woah..." she whispered surprised "I'm not quite sure to know what exactly a timelord is, but it seems something cool... I think..." she laughed sightly "Surely not like my kind... I'm a mermaid.." she raised her look to see his reaction.

Phoebus chuckled softly. "I basically control the fabric of reality and time itself." It sounded like a big deal but it really wasn't at least to him. Although when Chel mentioned she was a mermaid, he raised his eyebrow. So that's what that scent was. "I knew you smelled familiar. I've...met your kind before." He leaned against the wall of the room and crossed his arms.

Chel raised an eyebrow "Right... you only control the... fabric... of reality and time." she teased him a bit. Probably for him it was normal,his routine, but for her it looked like a very big deal! Surely not something that everybody could do on the mainland.
"You met merpeople?" she asked surprised; not even when they used to feed on humans merpeople had a lot of contacts with the land and its creatures. It had to be something important. "How?" she asked curious.

Phoebus smiled at how surprised she was. Was it that uncommon to meet merpeople?
"Ever heard of the fountain of youth?" He chuckled and ran his fingers through his hair again. "There and basically whenever I decided to take part in expeditions."
"So were you one of the ones that...attacked sailors? Or just a normal, plain mermaid?" It was unusual to see a mermaid in 'human' form.

Chel blinked "The fountain of youth?" she repeated "Yeah.. I've never been there but it's a place that every mermaid know." she smiled, a lot of places where actually connected with merpeople but luckily people of the land knew only few of them.
"Well..." Chel put a finger on her chin "My community, if you want to call it in that way, used to kill sailors two or three hundred years ago, but when metal boats arrived we had to change our 'diet'!" she laughed "Now we don't have any more connection with the mainland..."

Phoebus just stared at her, watching her explain. "Sounds like everything changes for every species." He flexed his right hand and frowned slightly. His change came three hundred years ago.
He shook his head and crossed his arms once again. "So..tell me about yourself." He needed something to keep his mind off of things and she seemed nice enough.

"Indeed..." Chel smiled, everything change and evolve after all. Probably also supernaturals of the land evolved during all those years.
She smiled passing her fingers through her hair "About me?" she chuckled sightly crossing her arms too and laying against the wall "Let me see... I'm 21, I like singing and of course the ocean... Your turn now!" she smiled pointing at him.

Phoebus looked at her in surprise. Chirpy one isn't she?
"Let's see. Already covered that I'm a werewolf and all so...I was a soldier in the war." He gestured towards his armor to explain. "But that's basically it. I'm not a very interesting person."

"That can't be true!" Chel smiled "You must have some kind of hobbies. I don't know, something like cultivation of sponges, hunting jellyfish, working with coral... or maybe you don't know how to have fun..." she teased him a bit, like she used to do with her brother. She kinda missed it, but Phoebus didn't look really different from him, at least in this first impression.

Phoebus laughed and stepped away from the wall. "It seems so."
This girl had a cute personality, much different from the other mermaids he had met. "I don't suppose time travel is much of a hobby. Though I have to say I've never hunted jellyfish before."
She made the ocean sound interesting, there was no way her personality belonged to a deadly siren.

"No, in fact. Time travel isn't a hobby." she chuckled watching him "And you should try hunting jellyfish." she smiled "Every mermaid or triton that I know has at least once in their life tried to hunt jellyfish. It's a nice game when you're little. Me and my brother always did it when we were young..." her smile faded away when she mentioned Kale, her brother, since she got into the Asylum Chel didn't have news from him.

Phoebus watched her as she spoke but frowned as her smile faded away. "You haven't heard anything from him have you?" He uncrossed his arms and put his left hand in his pocket. It was a feeling he knew very well. At least his family was dead so there was no one to worry about.

Chel nodded sadly "We were together when... well we were taken. He must be so worry, Kale can't live without me." she forced herself to smile, there was no need to be sad right now, at least not now when she knew nothing about him. "And you? Do you have a family outside here?"

Phoebus looked away from her momentarily. "No. It's just me." Images flashed through his mind of his parents, the war, everything.
He brushed off his feelings and looked back to her. "But that's fine. Less leverage someone can use against me." He flashed her a smile.

Chel observed him "I'm sorry.." she said noticing that the whole topic must be really distressing for him. "I know how it's like to lose someone you love... my mother died not so much time ago..." she sighed biting her lips "If it wasn't for her..."

Phoebus watched her from his spot before slowly taking a few steps toward her.
"Don't dwell on it. It's never a good idea to focus on the past, no matter how sad it was." He gently placed his hand on her shoulder, hoping not to scare her. This was the closest he had been to her since they had woken up. He felt bad for the girl.

"If it's said from a timelord then it must be true..." she smiled looking at him, not noticing that he was coming closer. She couldn't help but jumping, surprised and scared at the same time, when Phoebus touched her. Surely she wasn't expecting that gesture from him and, well... everyone else in that place. She smiled awkwardly at him and took a little step behind. "Sorry..." she said embarrassed, like that was the first time someone actually touched her.
