Another new room?! Another roommate? • Phoebus

As soon as she jumped, he quickly took his hand off of her and took a step back. "My apologies, I didn't mean to scare you. Just thought it would help." He turned and walked over to the mattress on the floor, taking a seat on the corner of it, letting her know he was being honest. He always had a soft spot for women. They were the only people that suppressed his 'asshole' personality. Women just seem so fragile, like they need constant protection.

"Oh no! No! You don't need to apologize.." Chel said immediately as he took his hand away "It's just... the whole situation..." she massaged her head gesturing towards the cell. She was still trying to figure out the whole situation, the fact that she was kidnapped and taken in that place: it was a mess.
"It's a mess!" she sighed sitting at the opposite corner of the mattress "But I know that you wanted to help." she smiled at him turning her head towards Phoebus.

Phoebus gave her a reassuring smile, letting her know he understood. "I don't quite understand this myself, but this whole place is full of supernaturals. I don't know why or how they even got us here, but I know it isn't good." He knew it probably wasn't the best thing to tell her, but she would have figured it out sooner or later.
"But don't worry. Until you find your brother, I'll try to help you."

"Thank you." she smiled sightly "I appreciate your help, I will seriously need it in a place like this!" Of course since they were trapped, Phoebus wouldn't be able to actually help her find Kale, but if he saw him at the next cell switch or heard something, it would be a good start.
"Plus I would need someone to help me when I'll kick those angels on their angelic asses!" she laughed trying to relaxing the moment.

Phoebus gave her another smile and leaned his back against the wall. "I'd love to help you there. If you ask me they deserve it." He cracked his knuckles and frowned slightly. But so far he hadn't been threatened by them, and he'd prefer to keep it that way.
"Just don't act irrationally if they try to hurt you. Listen to them and you'll live longer." He gave her a serious look. Most of the angels in the legends are nice, but he's heard of the deadly ones as well. It was best not to mess with them.

Chel frowned "Of course they deserve it!" she said firmly placing her hands on her hips "They kidnapped us! Without even a good reason." How could he be not angry towards those angels?!
She sighed again and turned to face the wall in front of her "Seems to hear my brother: 'Chel don't be so impulsive!', 'Think before act!', 'Put that down! Chel!'..." she laughed sightly mocking Kale's voice.
She let out another sigh and turned towards Phoebus "I know that they're dangerous... and like everything else that's dangerous I have to be more careful. You don't swim where there are sharks."

"Exactly." Phoebus stood up and walked around the room. He was already bored of his surroundings. There wasn't even a table or anything he could fidget with. It was starting to become frustrating.
He turned his back towards Chel, placing his hands on the wall. It had been a while since he tried to use his powers; maybe the power of the angels was weaker in this room compared to his old one.
After a few moments of trying, he let out a low growl and smacked his hands against the wall.
"Dammit, goddamn angels." He turned back around and sighed. If he could open a portal, he could've saved her from this place, but their magic was too strong. He flexed his hands, trying to push away the pain from hitting the wall so hard.

Chel watched him, following his steps. What was he trying to do now?
She jumped in surprise and made a little scream when he punched the wall "Oih!" she said looking at him "If you want to break the wall you should try in a different way!" she said waking up from the mattress. Surely the angels did have a second plan if one of the prisoners tried to use his powers and apparently it was frustrating not using them.
"Trying to use your powers, right?"

Phoebus growled in anger before calming down and nodding. "I can hardly do anything anymore. I figured if I could at least open a portal..." He gestured towards the wall then leaned back against it in frustration.
"Sorry again, for scaring you." He sighed and rubbed his hands against his shirt.

Chel watched him scared that he may get angry again, she wouldn't be able to 'control' him and prevent damage on her and himself.
"That's okay..." she smiled sightly taking a few steps closer to him "Probably the angels have a sort of anti evasion system... if not they wouldn't have captured us in the first place."

Phoebus took a deep breath and stood up straight. "I'm afraid I am not strong enough to...counter it." He took a few steps away from the wall and towards Chel. He needed to just chill out instead of trying to get out of this place, for his sake as well as hers.

"At least you tried.." Chel smiled and looked at him "At least you have a power to count on when you'll be in danger, I have only my strength and it's not very much!" she laughed, during her whole life she had never used brutal force against someone and actually she never needed it.

Phoebus smiled. "With any luck, you won't need it." He truly hoped this girl would make it out of here alive. She didn't act like a criminal or even remotely close to a menace. "If you don't mind me asking, do you know why you ended up in here? Did you or your brother do anything wrong?" He crossed his arms and eyed her curiously. He was interested in knowing, but could understand if she had no honest idea.

Chel sighed "Honestly I think we were taken just because we are not human..." she crossed her arms and sat again on the mattress "I may not know a lot of the mainland, but I don't t think that stealing clothes is such a big crime.." she winked smiling at him. "Surely we were an easy target and they took the chance to kidnap us and bring us here."
She was sure that the reason was just because she was a supernatural being, no matter what she did or would do.

Phoebus nodded his head slightly as he thought. "They captured innocents as well..." he said, mostly to himself. Now his idea of why they were all there was a little distorted. But aren't angels supernatural too? It just wasn't making sense.

Chel glanced at him "Did you do something bad?" she asked curious to know something about his past, till now she was the only one to speak about herself and he just listened. She wondered what he could have done to think that in a some way he deserved to be put in cell.

Phoebus glanced over at her before walking around the room a bit. "I started a war between my kind. The timelords and werewolves." Perhaps starting a war was a little overkill for revenge, but it was the only option he had at the time. "That's most likely the main reason I'm here of course. A madman crazy enough to kill his own kind."

Chel listened to him, arm crossed at her chest. That was a good reason to be in that cell! Surely Phoebus had his good reasons to start the war, but it was a very big deal.
"Why did you do it?" she asked watching him "Which side did you choose?" maybe she was asking too much questions, but she was being just curious. It was difficult for her to imagine a war of that kind.

Phoebus stopped moving around the room and looked over at her. "Revenge. I wasn't on either side. I was making them pay for what they did to my family by tricking them into killing each other. I made bargain. Whichever side won; got me."
Of course he never planned on getting caught before it was all over. Looks like his bargain is a false hope to them now.

Chel blinked a few times, she surely wasn't expecting that kind of reply, but his look was telling her that he really meant it.
"They must have done something really terrible.." she sighed "If you hate them so much.."

"In my world yes. And they needed to face the consequences for their actions." He sat on the other end of the mattress, keeping his distance from her in case she thought he was insane now."That's my story. Sounds insane huh?" He eyed her from across the mattress, gauging her reaction in his mind.

Chel smiled "Just a bit..." she chuckled turning to him. She knew that for the family people would do crazy things, she knew it very well. Apparently even starting a war!
"But for family, or someone you care, people can do a lot of insane things..." she sighed thinking back at her mother. She got sick, even died for their father's love, but in the end she never received something back.

Phoebus smiled and ran his hand through his hair. "Wouldn't you?" His eyes traveled up to meet hers. He would do anything for his family and even though they're gone, he still needed to clear their name.

Chel sighed and nodded "Of course! I will do anything possible for my brother. And so he'll do."
They were so close, almost like twins, and they would do anything for each other.
"Probably that war isn't so insane if we see in this view.."

Phoebus chuckled softly to himself. "Perhaps not." He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees and clasping his hands together. It must be nice having siblings..It has been so long, he barely remembers if he did or not.
